Rich & Tam’s Awesome Jurassic Coast Wedding!
Same-sex wedding photographer: Dorset
I was massively excited to be photographing Rich and Tam’s same-sex wedding on the Jurassic Coast. At our first meeting in a bar in Soho, where we chatted over a few beers, we hit it off immediately, and I loved how excited they were about their plans.
The wedding itself was awesome; it was the most perfect sunny day and with non-stop laughter all the way!
Rich and Tam got ready together at the Seaside Boarding House; a gorgeous boutique hotel perched on the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast, and very close to Bridport (where the ITV series Broadchurch was filmed).
Once the grooms were all set, we took a stroll along the beach before heading over to the Abbey House in Abbotsbury, for their open-air ceremony. The Abbey House is a quaint country farmhouse set in the most beautiful gardens with undisturbed views of St Catherine’s Chapel; perfect for the sunny alfresco ceremony.
We then went for a walk up to St Catherine’s Chapel. Those hills were pretty steep, but it was definitely worth the trek for the breathtaking views across Dorset and all the way down to the sea.
One of the biggest highlights of the day was the surprise cliffside firework which blew everyone away (myself included!). Well done boys for keeping that secret all day! There was no first dance as such (more a massive pile-up on the dancefloor to get the party well and truly started!), and everyone danced, drank shots and partied hard until the wee hours of the morning.
Congratulations boys, it really was the most amazing day – thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
